Nothing like a simple piece of ambient media to grab the consumers attention; simple & effective by Fedex.

You’re Spent

Advertising agency Mckinney has created a website which puts you in the shoes of the homeless;

SPENT

An interesting, simple click & point game which navigates you through multiple choice questions regarding your livelihood, simple choices with varying consequences. Choices are met with interesting insights  “about how many people opt out of health insurance because of high premiums, how 44% of people living below the poverty line use public libraries to access the Internet” in America.

“The game’s integration with Facebook is its best feature. When faced with some choices, (like your landlord raising your rent) the game will ask you to decide whether to ignore the claim, pay it or ask a friend. The last option opens up a pre-written statement in Facebook where you can email one of your actual friends for “help,” bridging the gap between virtual reality and the real uneasiness of having to ask a friend for assistance” (Via Mashable).

A simple idea which provides an insight into homelessness in America & will hopefully provide a platform for users to donate money to the Urban Ministries of Durham

Bridgestone – Reply All

A nice little Superbowl ad from Bridgestone, however my favorite part is the little bit of advice that pops up at the bottom 17 seconds in….

Budweiser – Wild West

The Superbowl wouldn’t be the same without the biggest adverts from some of the biggest brands & you can always rely on Budweiser to pull something out the bag….

Volkswagen Just Get It…

I’ve always been a fan of Volkswagen adverts, especially viral ads. They just seem to get it right & leave you with a feel good smile on your face. The latest two do exactly that….

Calling All Sneakerheads

This looks like it could be a great marketing campaign on the horizon for Foot Locker. Creating a community in which you show off your sneaker/trainer selection, with the ability to search by Brand, Celeb Endorsement, Stiching, Colour, Year etc..

Ultimately, I presume, it will link onto the Foot Locker website if you see one you’d like to add to your collection. There are a shed load of marketing possibilities around this, I reckon it’s gonna take off in a big way….

Football Nostalgia – Italia 90

If you’re a bloke, the words ‘World Cup Italia 90’ instantly bring back memories of Gazza, Lineker, Pearcy, Cameroon, Platt, Bobby Robson…… Waddle, the lot.

Well, I came across this beauty which brings back some of the incredible moments of that World Cup & made me realise just how much for a far cry it was from this summer in Germany.

It also has Des Lynham at his very smooth best…

Enjoy.
